Three months in Tanzania: Astrid’s reflections

2026-05-28T07:27:18+00:00

June 2026: Astrid joined her fellow Dutch board members when they visited Karatu in February. Not only is Astrid a long-standing member of the board in Tanzania too, she is an educationalist and someone who cares deeply about what Kamitei is building. Co-founders Mama Kamitei (Jane) and Jeroen, and the Tanzanian team, hosted the group for two weeks of school visits, desk repairs, sports days, and the conversations that make this work last.
