Kamitei Foundation is delighted to share the inspiring story of three recently graduated scholars. who excelled in their national examinations thanks to the quality education they received through their Eagle Scholarships. Mbiriasi, Joshua, and Danial, who recently completed their Ordinary Level studies at Edmund Rice Sinon Secondary School, each attained Division 1.7 in Tanzania’s Form 4 national examinations. These young Tanzanians are now poised to transform their lives and their communities.
With Division 1 being the highest grade, their achievement is truly outstanding. In recognition of their dedication and excellence, Edmund Rice Simon Secondary School awarded each of the students a special certificate, a cash prize of one million Tanzanian shillings, and inscribed their names on the school’s Wall of Honor. The awards were handed out at a ceremony in Arusha attended by Billy, Kamitei’s dedicated Field Education Coordinator.
Billy stated, “I’m very thankful for our sponsors’ giving rural Tanzanian students access to high-quality education through our Eagle Scholarships because these three students have benefited greatly from their scholarship.” He added, “Their achievements highlight the importance of educational empowerment and inspire others to aim for their highest academic potential.”
There are three stages of schooling in Tanzania, the seven years of primary school from Standard 1 to 7, then four years of secondary school from Forms 1 to 4 in Ordinary Level (O Level) studies, and finally the final two years of secondary school, Forms 5 and 6 in Advanced Level (A Level) studies. Eagle Scholarships are offered to high-flying students entering Standard 5 and when they pass the national examinations, continues throughout their secondary schooling.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Mbiriasi, Joshua and Danial, our talented scholarship beneficiaries from the rural communities of Ngorongoro and Karatu and wish them continued success in their future endeavors.
