In 2011, Kamitei offered an Eagle Scholarship to one of the outstanding students at Kainam Primary School. The scholarship enabled Mary, from Karatu, to attend a high-quality boarding school in Arusha for several years where she stood out as one of the school’s top performing students. Not only did she score A’s in all subjects in the Standard 7 National Examinations, Mary was also the best maths student of her class and the first placed student in the genius competition exams. What’s more, she was known to be a good adviser to her fellow students.
Due to her outstanding results, Kilimanjaro English Medium School has offered her their own scholarship for the next four years through to Form 4. Congratulations Mary!
