OUR FOCUS IS RURAL TANZANIA

Originally operating in 7 primary schools in Northern Tanzania, Kamitei has broadened its efforts since 2023 to other rural areas, particularly those rich in natural resources where communities have launched conservation-driven social enterprises. In these Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs), Kamitei collaborates with local organisations to improve their schools using revenue from natural resources, and support from our collaboration partners.

This expansion highlights Kamitei’s commitment to enhancing education in underserved regions and promoting sustainable development through local resources.

For over 20 years, Kamitei has dedicated itself to enhancing educational opportunities for children in rural Tanzania, aiming to lift lives out of the cycle of poverty through improved basic education for future generations.
