BOOKS
Kamitei believes access to suitable learning resources is crucial for fostering inclusive and effective learning environments.
By supplying vital books and learning materials, Kamitei aims to close the gap between rural and urban schools ensuring equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for everyone.
Global Stats:
“Children with more access to books can experience a 10-20% improvement in cognitive test scores.
In classrooms where every child has access to textbooks, students spend up to 50% more time engaged in learning activities compared to those without such access.
Providing books to rural schools can significantly reduce learning inequality and narrow the achievement gap between lower-income students and their peers by 30-40%.”

Books
Classrooms with more textbooks engage more students in learning.
Kamitei ensures that supported schools regularly receive sufficient quantities of curriculum-aligned and up-to-date textbooks to create inclusive educational spaces.
Learning materials
Better resourced schools make teaching more effective.
Kamitei equips teachers to bring their lessons to life by supplying them stationary such as flip charts, ream papers, chalks, tapes, glue, pens, envelopes and ensuring students have writing materials and exercise books.
Although our focus is rural Tanzania, Kamitei advocates for both rural and urban educational schools to be adequately and equitably equipped with vital reading materials.
“Learning English is very hard for me, but I’m improving with the many English books my teachers use. One day, I’ll be able to read all the English books at school!”

“We now have many more books than when I joined five years ago. Back then, I had to read the same book over and over! I love to read, so having more books makes me very happy!”
