SCHOLARSHIPS

Kamitei believes that scholarships are essential because they broaden access to education and help reduce global inequities. Such interventions are crucial in rural areas where educational resources are scarce and learning outcomes are generally lower.

Our scholarships give quality education and vocational training to outstanding school students and youth from low-income rural families, preparing them for higher education and employment.

Global Stats:

“Statistics show that scholarship programs in Africa can increase enrollment rates by 10-15%, improve retention rates by up to 20%, and raise graduation rates by approximately 15-25%.

Scholarship recipients often achieve higher academic performance, with a 10-20% increase in test scores compared to non-recipients.”

Eagle Scholarships

Giving high-flying learners access to good quality education to ensure they graduate secondary school.

Eagle Scholarships support a student’s education from the last two years of primary school, through the first four years of secondary school, and ideally onto the two advanced levels of secondary school. We then assist graduates with higher education submissions and government loan applications.

Community Scholarships

Equipping exceptional youth with vocational education to boost their employability.

Young people who have completed formal schooling after four years at secondary school can apply for a Community Scholarship to attend a vocational education (VET) training college. These youth study hospitality, conservation and other courses that will transform their community.

Our approach and effective program management has resulted in stronger academic results and higher graduation rates for scholarship students.

“Our partnership with Kamitei has been a huge help. They’ve supported us by training and hiring teachers, giving us books and lunches, and building classrooms. Thanks to them, our attendance has jumped from 60% to 97%, and our pass rate has increased from 70% to 82% in just six years. We’re grateful for Kamitei’s help and look forward to continue working together.”

“I enjoy school because I love learning, and my teachers are kind. I work hard to earn a scholarship from Kamitei to further my education. Luckily, my home is only 15 minutes away, so I stay at school to study even after my friends leave.”
