Our
APPROACH
APPROACH
Kamitei Foundation provides educational programs for children and young people in rural Tanzania, delivering results-oriented initiatives that are rooted locally within communities.
We know that the poor infrastructure at rural schools and the many challenges students face accessing quality education impede the effectiveness of rural learning environments.
OUR ProgramS
Kamitei’s approach focuses on learners, educators, and supportive learning environments.
Everything we do is designed to tackle the challenges that limit a student’s capacity to learn, an educator’s ability to teach effectively, and a community’s awareness of how education can lift lives out of the cycle of poverty.
Our programs are rooted locally and operated with a pragmatic, results-oriented ethos that treats supported rural communities and individuals as partners and co-investors in the mission to improve education.
Why focus on primary schools
Primary school serves as a pivotal starting point where children not only acquire fundamental academic skills like reading, writing, and numeracy but also cultivate essential abilities such as critical thinking and problem-solving.
Therefore, primary school acts as the springboard that ensures children embark on their educational journey with strength and promise, even in the face of the challenges present in Tanzania’s primary education landscape.
