In collaboration with our partners Honeyguide and Nawiri Group, Kamitei is rolling out our programs in communities within Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) adjoining Tanzania’s major national parks. A Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a form of community-based natural resources management that aims to integrate and foster sustainable rural livelihoods alongside wildlife conservation practices.

We are currently working with Makame WMA in Northern Tanzania, and Mbomipa and Waga WMAs in Southern Tanzania. By working closely with existing community-led organisations in each WMA, together we are having a positive impact on education and conservation in these areas.
