Partnerships & Collaborations

Kamitei seeks mutually beneficial relationships with like-minded organisations. We have established valuable collaborations with government agencies, community-led organisations and NGOs in Tanzania, plus partnerships with international philanthropic foundations and donors.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREAS

In collaboration with our partners, Kamitei is rolling out our programs in communities within Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) adjoining Tanzania’s major national parks. A Wildlife Management Area (WMA) is a form of community-based natural resources management that aims to integrate and foster sustainable rural livelihoods alongside wildlife conservation practices.

We are currently working with Makame WMA in Northern Tanzania, and Mbomipa, Waga and Msolwa WMAs in Southern Tanzania. By working closely with existing community-led organisations in each WMA, together we are having a positive impact on education and conservation in these areas.
