Jeroen Harderwijk
Founder
Jeroen is one of the founders of Kamitei and is a member of the boards of Kamitei in Tanzania and The Netherlands. Jeroen lives in Tanzania and is the CEO of one of the largest tourism operators in East Africa with a focus on responsible and sustainable tourism. He previously worked for ABN AMRO in the Netherlands.
Jane Harderwijk-Ngwatu
Founder
Jane is one of the founders of Kamitei and is member of the board of Kamitei in Tanzania. Jane, who is married to Jeroen, is responsible for the individual scholarships program.
Bill Basil
Teacher
Bill, a professional teacher, was recruited to provide ongoing support and training to the teachers in our partner communities. Bill is from Tanzania and was before active as a teacher in special education, giving him valuable experience of what it’s like to work in a classroom with children of different levels.
Ageeth Koemans
Teacher
Ageeth is an educational psychologist with strong experience in coaching and teaching teachers. Ageeth leads Kamitei’s efforts in improving the quality of the education in the schools and in particular the teacher training activities. Ageeth is a frequent visitor to Tanzania.
Thijs Hagoort
Member
Thijs is member of the Board of Kamitei in The Netherlands. Thijs has a background in international finance and currently lives and works as an entrepreneur in Amsterdam.
Niels Claeren
Member
Niels is member of the Board of Kamitei in The Netherlands. Niels is an investment advisor and former banker with extensive international expererience. He is a former colleague of Jeroen.

Designers
Henry Kimambo
Member
Henry is member of the board of Kamitei in Tanzania. Henry has a MBA degree from Mzumbe University, Morogoro, Tanzania. He holds a management position in the tourism industry in Tanzania.
