December 2025: It is with immense pride we announce that 14 Eagle Scholarship students have completed a significant milestone in their academic journey. Our founders, Jane and Jeroen, were honoured to join these accomplished students to celebrate their graduation from Form 4 in October 2025.

December 2025: We are excited to highlight Dionisia, an outstanding student from the Kainam community whose academic journey truly reflects the dedication, resilience, and spirit of our Eagle Scholarships.

August 2025: We’re seeking supporters to help us give over 720 students at two of our neediest primary schools two meals a day for the first 60 days of the school year so that hunger won’t hinder their learning potential.

Our teams recently visited communities near Southern Tanzania’s national parks to interview and offer exceptional youth Community Scholarships for vocational educational training that will boost their employability.

March 2025: Between September and March, Kamitei Foundation supporters Tom Claeren and Yanniek Peters spent time at several Kamitei-supported primary schools in Northern Tanzania to observe the Kamitei Internships for Teaching Excellence (KITE) program in action.

March 2025: Kamitei Foundation is delighted to share the inspiring story of three recently graduated scholars who excelled in their national examinations thanks to the quality education they received through their Eagle Scholarships.

March 2025: The Kamitei Internships for Teaching Excellence (KITE) program is making significant strides in addressing the severe teacher shortage and quality of teaching in the primary schools that it supports across Tanzania.

March 2025: In the last week of February, Niels Claeren, a Kamitei board member since 2010, embarked on a visit to Tanzania with his daughter to catch up with the Kamitei Foundation team on the ground.

December 2018: We are happy to announce that thanks to the generous support of a new sponsor, in January 2019 we will start a pilot food program to provide lunches for students.

November 2018: On the last weekend in November, Kamitei held a full day of examinations to select the new crop of Eagle Scholarship students and excitingly, we awarded five new scholarships.
